Rockin Walls is a Test site. Certification offered at our test site is through the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain DSWA-GB. Click here to learn more about the DSWA. The training center currently offers Level 1 Initial and Level 2 Intermediate testing. We are working on a level 3 Advanced retaining wall coming 2020.

1-Day Only, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

The test for Level 1 Initial certification is made up of a Traditional 4 ft high Freestanding Wall. Of which one will have to strip out and rebuild in 7 hours. We advise if you have never taking any Dry Laid Stone Workshop you consider taking a Workshop or A Pre Test Workshop Prior to your test day. 

Requirements To Pass DSWA level 1

One must show basic demonstration of the proper dry laid stone techniques of a traditional 4'.6" high freestanding wall. Strip down and rebuild 27 sq. ft. within 7 hours.  Roughly equal to a wall 4'.6" high X 6' long.  (The square footage is measured on one face.)  The test is done in the presence of a Examiner to meet minimum level I requirements. 

In order to pass DSWA level 1 you must;

1) Be completed within the 7 hour time requirement. 

2) Obtain the minimum marks in each section. (see Craftsman Cert link below)

3) Have an overall mark of at least 50 out of 100 to receive certification.
